Meet the Team
Our team that created this website is a small group of Christ followers in the Louisville Metro area who have retired from secular careers and are now engaged in showing Christ’s love by serving others. We encourage other Christ followers, or those exploring a faith in Christ (students, parents, those in the workforce, and retirees), to join us in volunteering opportunities such as these shown on this website.
Since Jim Gray retired from a secular job in 2016, he earned an associate’s degree in missions, was ordained and now works with refugees and teaches discipleship locally and abroad with Team Expansion.
Terry Sanders is the former Director of Quality for Engine/Foundry Division at International Truck and Engine Company. Ordained in 2013, he serves as a Minister on Call, as a Decision Guide, and on the Discipleship team at Southeast Christian Church. In 2015, he co-founded a Disciple Making Movement, which has multiplied to over 1,000 groups in 27 countries.
Sandra Heeke is a retired lawyer who has a heart for mission outreach. She mentors and leads small group bible studies. She has volunteered with O.A.S.I.S. (Organization Assisting and Serving International Students) since 2006 and is on the overseeing Board. She enjoys helping international students along their spiritual journeys and loves meeting people of different cultures. She speaks on “Relating Cross Culturally” and “Sharing Your Faith Cross Culturally.” Sandra is also Cru trained in the art of Storytelling. She has traveled extensively overseas.
Rick Bartlett is a retired lawyer who has been involved in mission outreach throughout his life. He has gone on mission trips overseas and now mentors international students through O.A.S.I.S. (Organization Assisting and Serving International Students) at the University of Louisville. He is also involved in discipleship and small groups.
A retired consulting engineer, Jerry Anderson is an elder on sabbatical at Northeast Christian Church and serves on the Leadership Task Force for Team Expansion, an international nonprofit organization that recruits, trains and equips missionaries to advance the Kingdom of God and plant churches.
